In early 2015, Shi retained Russian artists to study sketching and oil painting. Fascinated by the rapid changes of light and shadow, he is good at using the unique thickness and texture of oil painting to lock the vitality of urban streets and natural landscapes into the canvas.

In the cross-border sketching footprints - from the street scenery in Taiwan to the high-rise bungalows in Shanghai, from the Seine in Paris to the Erhai Mountains in Yunnan - the Chinese and Western people's feelings are captured to record their observations and feelings about the world.
