Shuofang (“we”, “the site”) is an online gallery for artists. We collect only what the site needs to work, and we never sell or rent personal data.
What we collect
- Enquiry form: your name, the contact method and ID or number you choose, your message, and the work you asked about.
- Artist accounts: a login email, an encrypted password, and the biography and works artists choose to publish.
- Technical data: our server briefly logs IP addresses, only to prevent abuse (for example, limiting repeated form submissions).
Cookies
Browsing the site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. A single essential cookie keeps artists and administrators signed in to the back office.
How we use your data
Your enquiry is passed only to the artist you contacted and to the site administrator so they can reply to you. We do not use it for marketing or any other purpose.
Who can see your data
- The artist you contacted, and the site administrator.
- Service providers that run the site, only as needed to provide their service: Railway (hosting), Supabase (database and image storage, Singapore) and Resend (email).
- English pages send content that artists have published to a translation service (DeepL or MyMemory). Enquiries are never sent for translation.
International transfers
We serve visitors in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China, and store data on servers outside those regions (such as Singapore). By sending an enquiry you understand and agree to this.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept until they have been dealt with and are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data you gave us, or ask us to stop using it. Send us a message through any artist page and we will deal with it promptly.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
